Save Birnbeck Pier BenefitPosted by Admin on February 18, 2016 Blog | | No comments
It is with much excitement Inner City have been invited to support a very important local charity, The Birnbeck Regeneration Trust. A live night of music in aid of raising funds to help save the towns much neglected Victorian Pier which was originally opened with much fanfare to the public on June 5, 1867. A Pier that was the location of the Inner City’s pre-reunion final live performance in 1986. Since that time the Pier has stood abandoned and neglected, battered by the elements. Now in 2016 is in need of some very urgent and speedy repair if this iconic piece of Victorian history is to be saved for future generations to enjoy.
But this isn’t just about Inner City. Another superb local band and good friends of Inner City, The March of Time will also be performing along with a super acoustic duo, Ellie and Nikon who’ll also be adding to a night of FREE live music fund raiser.
